Collen & Clare Website

22nd December 2017

During the course of December I have been helping high end fashion brand, Collen & Clare, as a model for their website.

This is so that their customers can see what their garments look like on a person rather than on a hanger.

I have had a great time hanging out with the girls in the warehouse, and not forgetting Steve, who has been a great photographer to work with.

I also have to say a big thank you to Kirsty Woolnough with her hair and make up assistance!

Stay tuned for more updates! See www.collenandclare.com.

Collen & Clare Fashion Show

10th October 2017

On Friday I took part in the charity fashion show for Streetchild UK.

Hosted by Collen and Clare, the show was full of fabulous clothing and footwear from their AW17 collections.

It was great fun to see some old faces, including my dear friend Gracie, as well as learning new choreography and getting to wear the items of clothing of course.

The show was a huge success and more importantly we all had a wonderful evening.

The show can be seen here >

The Amazons

10th October 2017

Last Monday I had the pleasure of being invited along to The Amazons first gig at Norwich Waterfront, following an interview I did with lead singer Matt Thomson for Bounce Magazine.

I also got to meet the band before the show, they were kind enough to do a little promo for the magazine and were great fun.

Shoot with Collen & Clare

3rd October 2017

Yesterday I was delighted to be invited along by Vanessa and her team at Collen & Clare, who have shops in  Southwold, Burnham Market & Aldeburgh, to model a few pieces from the AW17 collection.

This was an experiment for the website, to enable shoppers to see what the items look like on a real person.

Screen Shot 2017-10-03 at 15.36.55Although it was a very windy day by the coast, we managed to get some great shoots of the clothing, modelling in a seaside location (beach huts and all)!

Here are a few images from the shoot!

Sandra Reynolds Modelling Agency

1st October 2017

Exciting news! After a short break from modelling I have resigned with Sandra Reynolds Modelling Agency.

I first joined Sandra Reynolds at the age of 17 and have worked for the likes of Rigby & Pella, Aviva, SEH and many more. I absolutely love modelling as you can go from place to place working on lots of different projects, meeting interesting people.

‘Cover My Tracks’ Review with Charlie Fink

24th September 2017

At the weekend, I had the pleasure of popping along to see ‘Cover My Tracks’ at The Apex.

The show is a piece of gig-theatre based on former Noah and the Whale frontman, Charlie Fink’s new solo album.

It ‘s great to have the opportunity to meet and present our celebrity stars with a copy of the magazine.

So before the show I caught up  Charlie for a few photos and a chat.

Shoot with Angela – Long Melford

29th March 2017

I had the pleasure during March to work with Angela Fashions in Long Melford.

Celebrating over 30 years in fashion, Angela Fashions is an award winning boutique.

Nestled amidst its seemingly endless realms of shops, bars and independent beauty boutiques, is one of Long Melford’s oldest and most exclusive fashion outlets.

Working with Angela and her team including Amy was a great experience. The shoot was professional but fun and took place at The Long Melford Swan and in parts of the shop.

Check out the look book on Angela’s website here > http://www.angelafashions.co.uk/angela-long-melford-look-book/

Shoot with James & Kirsty

28th February 2017

Over the past few weeks I have had the honour of working with my two great friends, to create a new modelling portfolio for Sandra Reynolds.

I met James just after Christmas, and along with his partner Charlie, they came along to our engagement party to capture some amazing photos! (View back a couple of posts to see the images). They run a local studio based in Beccles, Suffolk called Charlotte James Photography & Events.

Through James, I then had the delight of meeting Kirsty, who literally read my mind when it came to my style of make-up and hair (which always helps)!

It’s safe to say we have had plenty of fun on the two shoots we have done so far, with a further one planned. The first was a beauty shoot and the second was a fashion one. With a great photographer, a talented hair and make-up artist, a white screen and some good lighting, we managed to achieve some great images.

Hopefully Sandra Reynolds will be happy with the results! Watch this space.

My Maid of Honour…

2nd February 2017

For one reason or another… I believe that everything happens for a reason.

A year ago today, I was in a different place, losing the person I thought was going to be a big part of my wedding now seems like a distant memory. It was very hard for me to walk away from a friend I loved dearly, but our friendship was turning against us both.

But every cloud has a silver lining and as that ship sailed a new one from my past arrived at my port!

Back to the start…

When I moved back to Halesworth, little did I know, my childhood friend Lois also moved back from London, this was around three years ago – about the same time I started dating Sam actually.

We met through my dad’s martial art school when we were around seven years old. We played often as children, and I have some really fond memories.

Sadly, Lois then became very ill and had to fight Crones Disease. At the time I was far too young to understand why she couldn’t come and play with me anymore and naturally we drifted our separate ways. I am pleased to say Lois is doing much better these days.

As we grew older, we started bumping into each other when she was at home from London at Christmas down our local pub. Very slowly we started to build a friendship again.

The here and now…

Lois and I chat regularly, we meet for coffee each week, we go out, we support each other.

That to me is what friendship is all about, and with our past history and family connections, it made sense that the person next to me when I say the biggest vows I will ever make, should be Lois. She always supports my accomplishments – with no hint of jealously and along with my partner Sam, we have some fun times together.

My proposal…

So it was my turn to do the asking and I got a little creative. In a box I put a balloon, in the balloon I put a note saying “will you be my maid of honour”. She opened the box, popped the balloon and said she would.

Here was the fateful moment! (over cocktails of course)!

I am really looking forward to hitting some wedding fayres and going on this wedding adventure with Lo by my side. We also have the best man JC, Sam’s childhood buddy and my other bridesmaid Sam’s sister Anna.

As for the friend I had to leave behind, I still love you and wish that things could have been much different, until one can help themselves they can’t be helped at all.

Ps – Did I mention her dad was the star of Quests Combat Dealers! lol! Always lots of tanks around!

Engagement Party

28th January 2017

On Saturday 21st February 2017 Sam and I decided to throw a part for our friends and family to celebrate our recent engagement.

Luckily, we live in a village that has just benefited from a brand new village hall, so it would have been rude not to have used it for the occasion. It really made the perfect venue for this kind of event.

We were made up to see friends travel from Leeds, Nottingham, Tunbridge Wells, Bury St Edmunds and Essex as well as all of our local friends who made the effort.

With a shot bar, buffet, magician, wedding playlist, decorations galore and a great photographer this party had it all… even a limbo competition!

I would like to take the time to thank our parents (Martin, Ali, Terry and Ann) for their support. To my grandmother Joy who made an amazing cake, my cousin Emma for preparing the buffet and to James and Charlie who captured the moments below for us to treasure forever.

Whilst I cannot remember the end of the evening – due to too much alcohol consumption – and I blame my future husband for that, it was a truly special occasion that Sam and I will remember for many years to come.

Here are some of the photos from the event!!
